Heart Disease, No Need to Fear – 5 keys to Living Fully

couple enjoying lifeThis Sunday, I will be speaking at my local library on how to live fully with Heart Disease.  This is the framework for the work that I do which revitalizes clients. The five keys are:

  1. Looking forward to what your ideal full life would be.
  2. Experiencing where you are now, compassionately acknowledging that your present is the starting point.
  3. Designing and committing to a personalized plan with SMART goals which get you closer to your vision
  4. Overcoming Obstacles
  5. Integration of your life

Envisioning your full life may sound like fluff, but it really is the basis for getting you where you want to go.  It provides direction which pulls you. With close examination you get to see what you value and perhaps you’ll get a sense of the impact you want to have. The future vision of your full life can remind you of why it is so important for you to make the necessary lifestyle changes. With this awareness and motivation, you can bring more of what you want into your life now and you can take meaningful action to restore your heart and renew your life.

This spring has been especially beautiful. There is such a sense of renewal, hope and opportunity with all the trees blossoming. Looking forward at your life and envisioning are ways to connect with your own sense of possibility and hope.  With heart disease there is the opportunity to live fully.  Allow yourself to imagine what that looks like for you.  Dream big so that you can enjoy the reverie. Take a few moments to let your mind wander to your desirable future.  What is there for you?  What can you bring more of into your life now? What is one thing you can do to live more fully?
