Announcing my new website. As my regular readers know, the focus of my coaching practice is on the crisis of burnout among nurses and physicians. I’ve decided to stop hiding and share what I have to offer. My goal is to help people regain energy and passion to enable them to live with greater ease while having greater impact at work and in life. I think I have something valuable to offer and have revamped the site to reflect this.
In my last post, I shared about receiving my trademark. Is this sharing of my successes a bit of a brag? This is something I wouldn’t have considered doing even 18 months ago, ‘so immodest.’ I know I can’t speak for all nurses, but there is a part about being a nurse which means you’re in the background, after all, our work is not billed as an individual service but a collective and sometimes we’re viewed as interchangeable parts.
I value humility and modesty and recognize that at times these can get in the way; they have for me. If you have a good idea share it. Let others know. When you share your gifts, strengths and good ideas everyone benefits.
I wonder about this quotation by Marianne Williamson
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Have I been hiding? Well no longer, please look around www.heartofwellbeing.com and see how my coaching practice has evolved. In addition to the one-on-one coaching I love, I am working with organizations to help them create environments where well-being is becoming part of the culture. I am doing public speaking on topics related to well-being and positive psychology. Perhaps your organization, or one that you know of, could benefit from these. Contact me, I’d love to know where you think people can benefit from what I offer. With my love for nurturing and commitment to professional coaching, I am also providing mentor coaching.
This is an exciting time in the development of my business, when my wisdom, experiences and skills are coming together. I look forward to using them so that you and others can regain energy and passion so that you can live with greater ease while having more impact at work and in your life.
Is it time for you to stop hiding and share? What limiting beliefs do you have that keep you hidden? Please share one of your good ideas or strengths with us.
