It’s been about 6 weeks since the New Year. How are you doing making the changes toward your best life?
It’s time to take a step back to observe. Are you pursuing a goal that you value? How does this goal fit into the overall picture of a life that you want? Physicians, nurses and chiropractors, what’s your assessment? Looking for clarity, support and accountability for progressing toward your ideal life, contact me.
To figure out where to put your efforts, take a pen and paper, or your computer, and write daily for 20 minutes for 4 days on what your ideal life looks like, your fantastic near future. You can choose to focus on an area of importance, and also be sure to include other aspects that make your life full and rich. 20 minutes may seem like a lot now, however this commitment will provide you with the foundation for moving forward.1
Be specific with what you write.
- How many hours/days a week do you want to work?
- How many patients do you want to see a day?
- What kinds of diagnoses and problems are you most interested in working on?
- What is your role with the hospitals you’re affiliated with?
- Who are your colleagues?
- What is the culture of your group?
- What is the atmosphere in your home?
- What are you doing while you’re not at work?
- How much money do you want to earn?
Now, go back and look at your resolution/goal and see how you can tweak it so that it relates to your ideal health care practice and life beyond work. Where can you put your 3% effort to bring you closer to the revitalized life you want? Start Now.
