Part of the impact of coaching comes by evoking awareness from the client/coachee. For clients, increased self-awareness is one of the most important benefits of coaching. Some of the ways you can evoke awareness are through reflection, questions, challenging, silence offering opportunities to reframe and many more.
One of the exciting aspects of evoking awareness is that it encourages clients to go beyond their current thinking and ways of being. This can help them go deeper and further as well as open up other possibiities. Along with sharing your reflections of what you observe, ask your client what they are more aware of now.
To experiment with ways for evoking awareness, join me and Monica Leggett for Group Mentor Coaching. We’ll be facilitating a small group of coaches over 5 consecutive weeks on October 2 – October 30 on Wednesdays, 8:30 – 10 am Eastern. You’ll have an opportunity to coach others and get live feedback as well as learn from others in the group. To learn more about this program, contact me directly.
