Vital Signs of Well-Being™: 50 minutes presentation or 6 session series
Vital Signs of Well-Being™ is a program for prevention of and recovery from burnout. It is based on research in positive psychology, which looks at what works, my experience working with and coaching others, as well as my own experiences moving toward well-being.
Oasis in the Overwhelm: 60-second strategies for balance in a busy world
These are four simple strategies for developing mindfulness and reducing the stress response. They are practical, take only sixty seconds, and are designed to help busy people be more effective and happier at work, at home and wherever you go. The techniques are easily learned and the basics can be taught within an hour. The benefits of each technique are proven and documented in research.
Research in mindfulness has shown that mindfulness interventions promote job satisfaction and help prevent burnout in terms of emotional exhaustion for those who work in jobs which require a lot of emotional labor. Furthermore, there are positive relationships between work-related mindfulness and task performance and organizational citizenship behavior, respectively, within surveys of working adults.
Dina’s master’s thesis was on the effect of relaxation on blood pressure. Oasistm strategies provide and updated, fast acting way to tap into the power of relaxation and mindfulness especially as it can be achieved through conscious diaphragmatic breathing. Dina is a Certified Master Oasis Trainer.

Best Self
This is a program which asks people to recall a time when they were at their best and also to think about people they admire. Through sharing stories about themselves and the person they admire, individuals connect with what is important to them and their own strengths. A list of valued characteristics representing the person’s Best Self is generated. This list can be used in a variety of ways to inspire the person to be their best. Here are a few ideas, it can provide focus on a few areas to develop, help define priorities, and be used to evaluate best fit at work and beyond.
Calling forth these strengths and values at work and home enhances daily satisfaction, increases success in areas of life that matter to the individual and help the person to compensate for weaknesses. Leading from one’s best self promotes a greater chance of success in all areas of life.
Tapping into the strengths and values of each other enhances engagement and promotes a supportive culture in which people can bring their best selves.
Inner Captain
Each of us has many aspects within us. The Inner Captain program allows individuals to identify internal voices and perspectives, and choose the one which is wise, compassionate and courageous. Connecting with this part of one’s self promotes the use of best judgment and collaboration.
Inner Captains are unique to each individual. When each person on a team is using their inner captain, wise cooperative work toward a common goal can be achieved.
This presentation is simple and concise. You took a complex concept and presented it in a way that anyone can relate to and understand.
I felt happy to attend and looking forward to applying some of the methods tonight in my personal/work life. Thank you.
